O Sapientia

First "O" Antiphon (for Dec 17) paraphrased from an article by Michael P. Mernagh in a church bulletin:

"O Wisdom who came forth from the mouth of the most high,
Reaching from end to end mightily, and gently governing all things:
Come, teach us the way of prudence." -- Sirach 24

O word of wisdom, spoken by the mouth of the most high God,
whose power knows no bounds in time and space.
Lord Jesus, our Messiah,
You are the Word and wisdom of God made flesh,
a powerful and tender guide.
We seek and ask You, God of wisdom,
to direct our lives by inspiring us to make choices
that are life-giving and growth promoting.
